MISSION STATEMENT LostCatsBrighton aims to relieve the suffering and distress of Cats and Kittens, by rescuing abandoned, unwanted, mistreated, injured and homeless cats and kittens, providing veterinary care, food, accommodation as necessary, but with the ultimate aim of rehoming healthy animals whenever possible. In addition to trap, neuter and return feral cats, and to educate the public in feline welfare And all of this on top of reuniting little lost kitties with their very relieved owners!
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ About The Website This site aims to be a comprehensive ‘Lost and Found’ list for cats in Brighton and the surrounding areas and a showcase for the cats in our care who are looking for new homes. We are local to Brighton and have run the list since 2001. The site is updated daily. The service has evolved from the experience of two friends losing two very special cats: Fuzzy and Darcy. We all appreciate the anguish of losing a cat and, hopefully, the following pages will provide guidance on what to do if your cat is missing. All those cats available for rehoming are cleared as healthy by our local vets and all cats rehomed by LostCatsBrighton are vaccinated, neutered/spayed and microchipped. It is FREE to put your cat's details on the site. To add your ‘Lost’ cats details to our website, just email us your cats details (see ‘Lost’ page for type of information required) and send it to to the above email address along with a photo. All we ask is that you tell us if your cat returns of its own accord, as often happens, or call us after 3 months to keep your cat on the site. Please include details such as age, area lost, collar, neutered and microchipped when reporting your cat lost. If, after 3 months, your cat has sadly still not returned it’s details will be removed so please email and let us know if you need your cats details to remain on our website. Please consider previous owners before permanently adopting a stray in your area, it might be a small childs pet or an elderly persons companion. So, if you have a cat that you wish to report as missing or you have found a stray cat which has turned up in your garden or area, or you wish to give a cat a home or microchip your own, then please do get in contact with us.
