Area Found : Rosehill Terrace, just off London Road in central Brighton
Details : We received the following email from concerned cat lovers
We have a beautiful ginger Tom hanging around our street. He is a little aggressive but I think that is because of hunger and is probably scared. I live in Rosehill Terrace just off London Road in central Brighton. He has been hanging around now for at least 6 weeks. I have tried posters in the area but to no avail. I have two cats that are not happy with this fella hanging around so am desperate to find his owners. He has no collar and I don't know if he is microchipped as I haven't been able to get that close yet. I just hope someone out there is looking for him

Plymouth Road, area, (BN2 4JB) of Lower Bevendean, Brighton, on the hillside.
Details : We received the following email from a concerned family who have take in a stray
Hello Ron, This message is just to let you know that we have taken in a seemingly, homeless black cat. We moved into Lower Bevendean approx. 3 months ago.
Continual visits have been made from this very hungry puss. He had green discharge from his eyes last wee, having been continually pinching food from inside our house.(We already have one cat) He also had a limp.
We decided to take him in and took him to the PDSA on Friday, 19th August 2011, whereby, he was given a very basic check up. Male, Black, with tiny amount of white flicks on chest
Shorthaired. Approx. 5 years, Unneutered, No collar, Not micro chipped (was checked at PDSA) Flea infestation, Has conjunctivitis
He is in our care, feeding him a good balanced diet.
Been de-flead. Advised by Vet to de-worm in approx 1 wk's time. Advised by Vet to have him neutered and chipped also!
We are more than happy to keep this lovely little cat, if not claimed?
At present, he is getting better by the day, we will have to decide when to have him neutered and chipped. (ASAP, so that he can venture outside again)
We are just concerned that he may belong to someone, we went out over the weekend and looked to see if there were any posters around for a missing, black, shorthaired cat?
There was nothing we could see, we have not heard anyone calling for him either, just a sad mystery?
I would appreciate your help in this matter,
Best Wishes,

Pure black, female cat found in Olive Road, Hove early hours on Saturday 20th August.

This kitty has since been given a clean bill of health and has been taken to WADARS Charity in worthing where she will be put up for rehoming in a weeks time! Area Found : Fourth Avenue, Hove
Details : My partner and I had a visitor last night at our window, who for ten long minutes meowed and then started scrabbling at our window. I went out to check on the cat only to discover that it was an approx 5 month old male kitten who didn't look old enough to be out so late at night. We've flyered our area (Fourth Avenue in Hove) but are hoping you can put his picture up on your website to help us. He looks quite well looked after and he's a wonderful lovely boy, full of affection and curiousity. He quite enjoy being picked up and cuddled so I'm sure someone must be missing him.
If you could give our number if you get any responses (if you can put him on the website that is) we'd be very grateful. We're happy to look after him until he gets claimed.

Area Found : New Church Road, Hove
Details : We received the following details about a kitty she is concerned about
Dear Ron, a very attractive, well-fed grey short-haired cat (heavy, very friendly, I think and intact male) came up to our door tonight.
We spend some time with him and he is very friendly indeed, but I don't recognise him from the area. We cannot take him inside as we have a new rescue kitten and three older cats who are still getting used to the kitten (plus we have 3 long-suffering dogs who are just about tolerating the kitten).
We live in New Church Road, Hove (at the Portslade end)
Please if you know who this kitty belongs to, Please put our minds at rest that he is not a stray and maybe just new to the area? Thank You

Area Found : Washington Street, Hanover Area, Brighton
Details : We received the following details from Raystede Animal Charity
This is a stray cat that was signed over to us on Wednesday 6th July. She has been named Lucy by the person who found her. Believed to be found on Washington Street, Brighton?! She has had her for some time, possibly a month or longer. She is very sweet, we think probably spayed and would guesstimate her age between 4-8 years roughly. She has extremely large saucer amber eyes and a black nose as seen in photograph, she is quite distinctive, no chip or collar. We will keep her for 7 days before starting the re-homing process. If you would be kind enough to add her to your found page.
Please, If you know who this cutie belongs to, Please call Raystede on 01825 840747 straight away as Raystedes policy on rehoming a stray is after seven days.

Area Found : Lovegrove Court, Ingram Crescent, Hove
Details : We received the following info about this kitty from a concerned lady
He is a young entire male, he is ravenously hungry, he is around our communal front door on and off throughout the day and night and early hours. He is very nervous; I haven't been able to touch him, when you approach him he just runs away. After two days of him being outside I took a photograph around, but nobody knows who he belongs to, although other people have said that they have seen him around. One person said that they first noticed him wandering around four weeks ago and they asked others if anybody knew where he lived but that nobody seemed to know him. I live in Lovegrove Court, Ingram Crescent East in Hove. Where I live there are lots of trees and bushes, the cat is not in danger of roads and I will continue to feed him, but it would be nice to know if somebody out there is missing him. He does have a red collar on but it is very tatty and could well have been on him for a long time. I would take him in but have two of my own. By the way I don't think he is outside our door for females as the only other cats that go out here are neutered males. He also seems to like to follow the other cats but doesn't seem to be aggressive. Also he does yowl a lot but I'm not sure why
If you know who this lovely kitty belongs to, Please call us straight away, Thank You.

Area Seen : St Ann's Well Gardens, Hove
Details : We received the following details from a concerned couple having spotted a cat looking lost
Not sure if it was lost or not, but we've just been for a walk in st ann's well gardens, hove and spotted a dark brown/black cat with a few light brown spots on his back and one over his eye. I wouldn't normally email with this but a) It's very odd to see a cat in that bit of the park b) he did look a little lost and dishevelled. If you get any calls about a cat matching that description - that would be the first place to look.
If you know who this cat belongs to, please check with them if he is missing and if so please ask them to check St Ann's Wells garden and if no luck to email us the cats details (our contact email address is on our Homepage) and we will add it to our Lost pages . Also follow our advice given on our 'Lost Your Cat?' page.

Area Found : St Mary Magdalene Street, Brighton (BN2)
Details : We received the following details from a very kind and caring lady who is attempting to feed him will when possible hopefully manage to get a photo of this kitty.
Its very unusual to find cats here as it is rows of terraced houses so the cats usually remain in the gardens. Anyway I took him/her in and waited until after 9 am to knock on neighbours houses. I was going out for the day so I left the cat in a room with food and water. I have two cats and they are not too impressed with the cat. Tried a few more doors this evening. Let him go out front to see if he knew where he was, ended up getting stuck under neighbours basement grill. Took him back into mine but put him in garden in case he needed the toilet. My cats have chased him out of the garden but he is still sitting on the wall near by so haven't managed a photo.
He/she is a black long-haired cat with a purple colour, reasonable condition although a little scruffy in appearance. Nice temperament.
I have just done an ad for the Friday ad. I am a full time worker so the cat will have to fend for itself but I'll keep an eye out for it and give it food if it wants to brave it into my garden.
If you know someone who is missing a cat matching this kitty's description then Please call us straight away, Thank You.

Area Found : Stoney Lane, Shoreham
Details : We received the following details about this 'Found' Kitty
Last evening, my husband opened the shed at the bottom of the garden and was greeted by a mournful mewing, which was from a beautiful little long-haired tabby cat with amber eyes. He realised that she had been shut in there since Saturday or Sunday, which was when he last opened it. Thinking back, we realise that she – she looks like a young female – has been around in the garden, trying to get into the large studio/workshop, garage, house, shed, etc. for some weeks. Until she ran under the studio each time we got near, and really until last evening, we had no idea that she was a stray.
If you know who this lovely and distinguishedly looking kitty belongs to, Please call us straight away, Thank You
